About Us

We bring together the needed resources in Sanford and Lee County to create a coordinated and comprehensive approach and to ensure that homelessness is prevented whenever possible or is otherwise a rare, brief, and non-recurring experience.

We began after 22 people experiencing homelessness were found living in an uninhabitable building.

Significant Accomplishments

Salvation Army Navigation Center

In April of 2021, The Salvation Army Navigation Center was opened. The Salvation Army provides staff and volunteers and the Bread of Life provides the building and office space. Each weekday, staff open the doors for a free breakfast. An array of service providers are available on-site throughout the week at varying times to meet the needs of those who are living on the street.
